McCain’s a Comedian!

November8

This is from the October Al Smith Dinner so has been around awhile, but I managed to miss it.  My husband sent it to me today and I was laughing out loud. Especially at McCain’s speech. It’s hilarious.  I wonder who wrote the speeches?

Both speeches are broken into two videos. I haven’t posted the second part here, but you should be prompted to go to the second part at the end of both.

South Park - The Passion of the Jew

South Park - The Passion of the Jew

by Trey Parker

I don’t usually like South Park, but this was a lot of fun, especially with all of the stuff going on with Mel Gibson and his recent drunken anti-semitic remarks. I HATED Passion of the Christ. I couldn’t even make myself watch the entire thing and was very disturbed that everyone just took it as - well - gospel.

The priest character in South Park was right; the passion play was created specifically for anti-semitic purposes and is based upon very little information. To base an entire movie more than 2000 years after the actual event on such a miniscule amount of info. could only be for anti-semitic purposes.

As my old Methodist minister used to say - the truth always bubbles up eventually. And of course, there are always those who see it immediately - like the writers of South Park!

Very fun.
